Position Overview:
The Grants Manager reports to the Director, Development and Communications. The Grants Manager is responsible for securing foundation and corporate grants, prospect research, database management (Raiser’s Edge 7) and providing support as needed with special events and individual appeals. This person will be charged with developing existing foundation/corporation relationships and exploring and creating new foundation/corporation relationships, working with various stakeholders to ensure opportunities are leveraged to the fullest extent. This person will also collaborate with the program department to ensure effective internal communications and to generate timely grant reports.

Responsibilities of the Grants Manager will include, but are not limited to:
- Grant writing and prospect research to include developing current and new foundation and corporate donors
- Oversight of foundation grants, including proper reporting and general stewardship of grants
- Collaborating with EHTP’s program department to ensure effective internal communications
- Managing institutional records on database and maintaining a grants calendar
- Working with the Executive Director and the development department to proactively and strategically pursue institutional funding
- Support of board development committee
- Support in organizing special events and individual appeals
- Support with government grant applications
Educational Background and Work Experience:\
- A Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree a plus
- 2+ years of relevant experience in fundraising preferred
- Demonstrated success in successful grant writing
Qualifications:
- Exceptional writing (both creative and analytical) and editing skills, as well as excellent organizational and research skills
- Experience with annual campaigns, sponsorships, fundraising research, grants writing and reporting
- Experience with securing and stewardship of federal grants a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Raiser’s Edge 7
- Passion for youth and community building
- Detail Oriented, team-player
- Ability to work autonomously, multi-task and meet deadlines consistently
- Belief in the East Harlem Tutorial Program’s mission, education model and core values
Compensation:
Compensation for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience. In addition, EHTP offers a comprehensive benefits package.
