EHTP Announces Approval of East Harlem Pact Charter School
May 11, 2010 – The 52-year old community-based nonprofit which has provided after school education to 15,000 East Harlem students and their families, announced today that the EHTP Pact Charter School has been approved to open in East Harlem. One of six (6) charters – and the only one in Manhattan – approved by the State University of New York Board of Trustees, the school will open in August 2011. Read the article here
SUNY approves six more charter schools
May 11, 2010 – Gotham Schools’ Anna Phillips covers the approval of six new charter schools by the State University of New York’s Charter School Institute, leaving the state with only 12 available charters. EHTP was the only approval in Manhattan and one of the two applicants not connected to non-profit charter school management chains. Read the article here
