New Participants

Participants who are new to the EHTP must go through the rolling admissions process. New applications are date-stamped by EHTP staff and processed in the order in which they are received. At the end of every month, the EHTP will review registration and attendance data. Based on the number of seats available within the various grade cohorts, the EHTP will call families off the rolling admissions records and schedule them for an orientation meeting.

Once called in for a registration/program orientation:

  • Paperwork is reviewed at orientation to ensure no documents are missing. Should any documents be missing, parents are given four weeks to bring them into the Management Information Systems (MIS) office.
  • Parents/Guardians and their children are scheduled for Intake and Assessment.
  • Participants cannot begin program until they complete Intake and Assessment.
  • Intake and Assessment includes an interview with the parents/guardians and their child. An assessment of the child in reading and math will help determine the types of services he or she will receive while participating in after-school programs at the EHTP.
  • The start date for new participants is the next program date after the intake and assessment appointment.
