The East Harlem Tutorial Program is committed to maintaining your confidence and trust. Accordingly, it pursues the following privacy policy to protect all personal data you provide.

EHTP's Commitment to Security
Physical, electronic and managerial procedures have been adopted to safeguard the security and integrity of your personal information. The EHTP encrypts billing information wherever the EHTP requests it. Personal information is accessible only to staff members and volunteers designated to handle complaints or requests. EHTP agents and contractors with access to personal information obtained through the EHTP's website are also bound to adhere to this policy as part of their contract with the EHTP.

Personal Information that the EHTP May Collect Online
The EHTP collects the following types of personal information: names, postal and e-mail addresses, phone and facsimile numbers, and billing information.

How the EHTP May Use Personal Information Collected Online
Unless you consent otherwise, the EHTP will use your personal information only for the purpose for which it was submitted, such as replying to inquiries, processing volunteer applications, and processing billing and business requests related to donations to the organization.

How Your Information May Be Shared
The EHTP does not share its volunteers or donors’ personal information with outside sources unless these are directly connected to our programs. Information collected on volunteers and donors is used for internal purposes only, when presenting demographics of said individuals to the board of directors and potential funding sources.

Help Us Keep Your Personal Information Accurate
If your personal information changes or if you would like to review the personal information we may have on our records, please e-mail us with the new information or your review request at volunteer@ehtp.org.

Computer Tracking and Cookies
Our website is not set up to track, collect or distribute personal information not entered by visitors. Our site logs do generate certain kinds of non-identifying site usage data, such as the number of hits and visits to our site. This information is used for internal purposes by technical support staff in order to provide better services to the public. Although it may also be provided to others, the aforesaid data contain no personal information and cannot be used to gather such information.

A cookie is a small amount of data that is sent to your browser from a Web server and is then stored on your computer's hard drive. The EHTP uses non-identifying cookies to provide easier site navigation and access to forms. You can still use the EHTP's site if your browser is set to reject cookies. Our cookies do not generate personal data, do not read personal data from your machine and are never tied to anything that could be used to identify you.
