The Elementary After-School Program meets four days a week, Monday through Thursday, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at our scholars academies. Our supportive instructors work with elementary school scholars to develop the critical thinking and social-emotional skills to succeed in school and beyond.

 
  • Project-based learning enrichment activities focus on literacy, art and science.

  • Course offerings include dance and photography

  • Classes meet Monday through Thursday, 3:30 to 5:30.

  • School year and 5-week summer support

 
 

School year & 5-week summer support

Each summer, we provide a 4 to 5 week summer camp option for scholars who are not mandated for summer school. During Summer Camp, scholars participate in project based learning in the following subject areas:

  • Art

  • STEM

  • Sports

  • Culinary

  • Dance

Scholars also attend weekly field trips. Some previous field trips have been:

  • Nickelodeon at American Dream Mall

  • Crayola Experience

  • Manhattan Children’s Museum

  • Thrillz Trampoline and Amusement Park

  • New York Public Library

  • Museum of Natural History

  • Beat the Bomb

  • Movies

  • Restaurants 

  • And more!

REQUIREMENTS

In order to apply, your child must meet the following requirements:

• Reside in East Harlem or attend school in East Harlem

• Maintain an 80 percent attendance rate at program

• Attend EHTP’s five-week summer session

Please note: students who attend schools with a 3:30 p.m. dismissal time or later do not qualify for after-school programs. Completing this application DOES NOT guarantee you entry into EHTP’s after-school program.
